The European Movement in the Republic of Macedonia is:
- NGO registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Macedonia
- Full member of the international non-governmental organisation European Movement, seated in Brussels, established in 1949
Our Movement:
- Shares the aims of the international European Movement to create a united federal Europe;
- Spreads the European spirit and ideas in the Republic of Macedonia and strives for full integration of the Republic of Macedonia in the European Union
Through our activities, we aim to:
- Raise public awareness about the European values, achievements and the future of the European integration in the Republic of Macedonia;
- Encourage understanding, mutual recognition and diverse and free communication among within the single European space,
- Objective and analytical examination of the status and prospective of the relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the European Union;
- Contribute to the development of democratic dialogue on all issues of European integration;
- Development of civil society in the Republic of Macedonia and its involvement and contribution to the realisation of the vision of "Citizens' Europe",
- Encourage good neighbourly and regional co-operation based on common European aspirations, and
We shall strive to realise these by:
- Seminars, debates, congresses, conferences, colloquia, round tables and other forms of debate and exchange of opinions;
- Educational, training and informative activities;
- Research and study activities;
- Publishing;
- Expositions and other public events
- Organising other activities in accordance with the aims of the Movement.
The Principles of our Movement are:
- Non-discrimination, on any ground
- Neutrality towards party affiliation
- Transparency
- Openness for cooperation
